Who we are

This website belongs to CHECKin Faro by Leonel Pereira, a restaurant in Faro, Portugal. We process your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy explains what we collect, why, and for how long.

Data we collect

We only collect what we need in order to reply to you and to keep the website running.

• Online bookings: name, email, phone number, date, time, number of guests and any notes you leave us (allergies or the occasion, for instance). This data is collected by our booking engine, Dinnersoft Bookings, which processes it on our behalf.
• Technical browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps, collected automatically by the server.

How we use this data

We use booking data solely to manage your booking, contact you about it by phone or email if needed, and welcome you at the restaurant. We do not use it for marketing, we do not sell it and we do not pass it to third parties for commercial purposes; Dinnersoft Bookings processes it only to provide the booking service. The legal basis is the pre-contractual steps you ask us to take when you book.

How long we keep it

Booking data is kept for 12 months from the date of the booking and deleted thereafter. Technical server logs are kept for short periods only, for security and diagnostics.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies required for it to work: session, security and your language choice. We use no advertising or profiling cookies. The booking engine on the booking page is loaded from Dinnersoft Bookings' servers, which may use technical cookies and process your IP address so that the service works.

The home and booking pages show an embedded Google map. That map is loaded from Google's servers, which may set their own cookies in your browser and process your IP address, subject to Google's privacy policy. The map is lazy-loaded, so it is only requested from Google when you reach that part of the page; the "Get directions" button opens Google Maps in a new window.

Your rights

You may ask us for access to your data, its correction, its erasure, a restriction of processing or its portability, and you may withdraw your consent at any time. Simply write to the email address below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).
